In response to COVID-19, Wilbur-Ellis made a $100,000 donation to the Red Cross, with the funds directed to the U.S., Canada and Asia-Pacific – the areas where our employees live and work.
The Sonoma County Grape Growers Foundation (SCGGF) established a recovery fund for ag workers and their families who were displaced from their homes, lost wages or impacted in other ways by the Kincade Fire in October 2019.
Zillah Fire Department in Zillah, Washington, received a donation from Wilbur-Ellis to fund the purchase of two thermal cameras that are installed on rescuers’ air packs. The thermal cameras will also be used in the surrounding communities as needed.
North Stars Youth Hockey in Grafton, North Dakota, received funds from Wilbur-Ellis to buy new boards to split the ice during games, so multiple groups can use it at once.
Russ Miner, fertilizer lead at Wilbur-Ellis based in Montana, was able to hand deliver a check for $3,000 USD to Child Bridge Montana. Child Bridge is a foster care group that recruits, trains and supports foster parents.
The volunteer fire department in Almond, Wisconsin, used a donation of $4,000 USD from Wilbur-Ellis to purchase a large diameter hose for use during fire emergencies.
Broadwater County 4-H livestock committee in Montana received a $2,000 donation from Wilbur-Ellis to help purchase new bleachers for committee members and spectators on the fairgrounds during the Broadwater County Fair livestock show.
Last year was tough for many people in the U.S., particularly for those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas and the wildfires in Northern California. Wilbur-Ellis made Impact Fund donations to help those in need.
