When it comes to living by Wilbur-Ellis’ core values—Integrity, Diversity, Effort, Accountability and Service (IDEAS)—we know it’s just as important to exhibit our commitment in our communities as it is in our work.

One of the ways we do this is to set aside money in our Impact Fund to improve infrastructure, educate children, grow local economies and enrich people’s lives all around the world. Another way is through individual contributions offered by our team members to help support health and happiness in our own backyards.

While our community giving continues throughout the year, we recognize that the holiday season is an especially important time to lend a hand and make sure we give additional support to folks who could use a little extra help. That’s why our Wilbur-Ellis Nutrition teams take the opportunity to conduct a food drive during this season each year.

Since we started recording amounts in 2010, the Wilbur-Ellis Nutrition team has delivered nearly 55,000 pounds of food to our local communities. And we know far more has been shared without being counted toward that tally.

This year, we had a friendly leaderboard competition happening among offices to help spur more excitement around this important effort. By the end, we added nearly 75,000 pounds of food collected to our overall total since 2010. To kick things off, the San Francisco Corporate office donated $10,000 which equals 50,000 pounds of food. Other offices and branches participating also collected the following:

  • San Francisco, California: 6,705 lbs.
  • Vancouver, Washington: 2,533 lbs.
  • Three Rivers, Michigan: 575 lbs.
  • Spokane, Washington: 6,007 lbs.
  • El Centro, California: 1,530 lbs.
  • Burgard (Portland, Oregon): 11 lbs.
  • Lethbridge, Alberta: 895 lbs.
  • Kaufman County, Texas: 500 lbs.
  • Gaffney, South Carolina: 2,000 lbs.
  • Tukwila, Washington: 3,096 lbs.

To our communities around the globe, thank you for letting us serve you today and tomorrow.

Happy Holidays from your friends at Wilbur-Ellis Nutrition!
