Fluctuating markets, outside forces and a tense political climate are just a few of the business challenges currently impacting our industry. But how does one address such obstacles? At Wilbur-Ellis Nutrition, a strong culture of collaboration, fostered by leadership like our Vice President of Product Groups, Cory Salter, has allowed us to successfully navigate these complex times.

“When we think about how we can overcome major industry challenges, we look at the ways we can work together to bring more value to our customers. Innovation is a consistent challenge, as is introducing new products, or investing in automation,” Cory explains. ”What is important is that we are listening to our client relationships and continually providing them with timely solutions,” he continued.

Cory leads a team of 40 dedicated employees that live out Wilbur-Ellis’ core values—Integrity, Diversity, Effort, Accountability and Service (IDEAS)—every day as they work tirelessly to give our customers the best possible insights and support. By working together and establishing a commitment to find the right solutions, rather than just focusing on making the sale, the team builds long-lasting relationships with our business partners.

When the team looks for business growth opportunities, it focuses on the ones that are safe and ethical. “As a group and as a company, our values are important too. While our goal is to increase profits, we avoid situations where we could potentially compromise those values,” he continued.
