Plant Operator Lead

General Purpose and Scope of Position

The primary role of the Plant Operator Lead is to assist in all aspects plant production, quality control, maintenance, and facility cleanliness. The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter with the ability to work with a close knit team to meet our customer demand efficiently.

Key Skills and Abilities Include

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required
  • Willingness to operate material handling equipment including forklift, skidsteer and other equipment as required
  • Ability to repetitively lift packages up to 50Lb. (or 110Lb. with a partner) while working in a non-climate controlled, dusty environment
  • Good math and organizational skills
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions, and complete necessary documentation
  • Ability to read and write English is required
  • Willing to work overtime hours as needed

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include

  • Learn and train all roles required at the plant (mixing, bagging, forklift, container loading, etc.)
  • Operate and maintain processing equipment as outlined in SOP’s
  • Maintain facility cleanliness throughout all operations
  • Perform Quality Control while handling products
  • Accurately document tasks performed (processing, maintenance, cleaning, etc.)
  • Warehousing including receiving, shipping, and organizing
  • Follow all safety, regulatory, and administrative policies and procedures
  • Able to work and contribute to a team approach with a positive attitude and outlook
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management professionally and efficiently
