Jean Briand

Jean Briand is the Senior Vice President of enterprise finance at Wilbur-Ellis, and leads company-wide financial planning, business analytics, decision support, and customer financial services. 

Joining Wilbur-Ellis in 2021 as chief financial officer for the Agribusiness Division, Briand brought strategic financial focus and decision-making to the role, ensuring the financial health of the Division. In 2023, Briand was the architect behind Wilbur-Ellis’ WE Ag Finance™, the company’s industry-leading input financing for its agribusiness customers. 

With extensive finance experience that spans nearly three decades, Briand has furthered the success of renowned companies such as CHS, Nestlé, and Pitney Bowes. He’s held a number of senior executive roles overseeing various financial and non-financial domains. 

Briand serves on the Board of Directors of The Fertilizer Institute representing Wilbur-Ellis working to advance policy, promote solutions, and advocate for the economic strength of the ag industry. He earned a variety of educational accomplishments from institutions such as New York University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Institute of Management Accountants. He is fluent in French. 

Briand lives in Minneapolis, MN, with his wife, Danielle, and their three children. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling with his family, outdoor activities, and cheering on his children in all their endeavors.
