Michael F. Reilly is a retired senior executive who served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary at FMC Corporation, a global agricultural sciences company. During his more than twenty years at FMC, he advised the CEO, executive leadership, and the Board on legal, risk, compliance, strategy, and sustainability issues, and supported the Nominating & Governance, Audit, Compensation, and Sustainability committees.
He led a global Legal & Compliance team of about 55 professionals and played a key role in major initiatives, including FMC’s $3.2 billion acquisition of DuPont’s global agriculture business and the creation of a comprehensive global ethics and compliance program.
Earlier in his career, Michael held in-house positions at Zeneca/Syngenta and practiced law at Sidley & Austin and Ballard Spahr. He began as a law clerk to Judge Kenneth F. Ripple on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He holds a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and an A.B., magna cum laude, from Columbia College.
