WILBUR-ELLIS COMPANY ANNOUNCES RELOCATION OF ITS AGRIBUSINESS DIVISION

Move is part of ‘Alignment for Growth’ strategy to prepare for industry changes

SAN FRANCISCO – July 16, 2014 – Wilbur-Ellis Company continues its investment in the future of its Agribusiness Division with the introduction of a multi-part plan called Alignment for Growth, the company announced today. The initiative will create new opportunities for employees while supporting greater productivity, and help improve communication and responsiveness to better support customers and suppliers.

“In the next several years, the agribusiness industry will experience volatile markets, more retirements, the introduction of new innovation and technology, coupled with unpredictable weather and other world-wide influences,” said Dan Vradenburg, president of the Agribusiness Division. “Alignment for Growth will help us to be more responsive than ever to these changing industry conditions, provide greater value to our customers, automate processes for greater efficiency, and pave a clear path for our future leaders as we continue to grow across the country.”

As part of Alignment for Growth, the Agribusiness Division is moving its operations from Walnut Creek, Calif., to Denver, Colo., which is expected to take place by January 1, 2015. This move Eastward will allow Wilbur-Ellis’ Agribusiness Division to be more accessible to relevant geographies and is expected to enhance communication, collaboration, and ideation among the division’s nearly 3,000 employees.

“Wilbur-Ellis is proud of its history but never stops looking ahead,” adds Vradenburg.
