WILBUR-ELLIS COMPANY ACQUIRES NORTH DAKOTA AG RETAIL LOCATION

Company expands in southwest North Dakota to improve customer service  

Elgin, N.D. – February 20, 2014 – Wilbur-Ellis Company, a recognized leader in crop production technology and the distribution and marketing of plant protection, seed and nutritional products, announced today that it has acquired the assets of New Horizons Ag Service Inc., an ag retail business located in Elgin, N.D. The new location will be part of the Wilbur-Ellis Midwest operations.   

New Horizons is a Wilbur-Ellis Alliance partner, which has been selling the company’s branded products, including plant protection, nutrition, and seed, to its customers. The staff in Elgin will collaborate with the Wilbur-Ellis staff in Mott, N.D. (acquired in October 2012), to enhance local service to customers.  As part of Wilbur-Ellis’ expansion efforts, it recently built a 3000-ton fertilizer facility in Mott, which the Elgin location will utilize.

Wilbur-Ellis North Dakota locations include Grafton, Grand Forks, Lisbon, Minot, Mott, Rolla, Wahpeton, and Walhalla.
