Sherri Sides has joined Wilbur-Ellis as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective September 6, 2022, reporting to President and CEO John Buckley and serving on the company’s Executive Leadership Team.
In her new role, Sherri will shape, develop and implement the company’s global HR strategies, policies and programs. She will lead all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition and management, succession planning, learning and development, compensation and benefits, payroll, HR information services, and the Culture, Engagement and Organizational Effectiveness group.
In joining the company, Sherri said: “I’m excited to join the Wilbur-Ellis team and look forward to partnering with our employees and leaders on HR strategy for the future. The past few years have brought new opportunities to the workplace, and it’s critical that we focus on engagement and culture to attract and retain the best talent in the industry.”
Sherri brings extensive leadership experience to Wilbur-Ellis. Most recently, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for TEAM, Inc., a provider of industrial services and equipment. Sherri also has held HR leadership roles in the industrial gas, technology and healthcare sectors, including at Air Liquide USA, Dell Inc., Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, and Applied Materials.
Sherri has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Texas, and a Master of Arts degree in Human Services from St. Edward’s University. She was recognized in “The 2018 Power 50” awards by Texas Diversity Magazine, which honors women who are “shaping the future of their industry with their insight and leadership.”
Sherri and her husband, David, have a 14 year-old daughter, Maddie. Sherri will be based in Houston, Texas.
